Robert Weirauch is showing how a contemporary musician can negotiate a fulfilling path amidst the many cultural movements in society. His work integrates the traditions of classical music, the virtuosity of the performing musicians, intense personal experiences and the all-pervading influences of world music, pop, film and literature. His musical world is emphatically one of the marriage of many tones, colours and atmospheres combined to clarify and not confuse his listeners.
